The alpha was supposed to be mine. Our fates were decided by the Moon herself, but he chose to follow his own path to a future that didn’t include me.

Accepting my destined mate’s rejection was the hardest thing I ever had to do, and it cost me my pack, my friends, and in the end…my home.

Now, four years later I have to rejoin my old pack, forced to see him love another female. Her scent is mixed into the crevices of his skin, and every breath I take is slowly killing me little by little.

How do you tell yourself not to breathe?

But there’s one more element to this story, something I didn’t count on…and his name is Dallas Valentine.

I’m drawn to him in a way I can’t explain. There’s something about him, about the scent of his secrets that lures me in, tempting my most primal instincts. But he’s not destined for me, and what chance do I stand against fate?

CLAYTON was the first book of Rachelle’s that I have read, and it was the beginning of an amazing journey I never dreamed of taking.

“How do you tell yourself not to breathe?”
The book’s title is CLAYTON but the story is about Rya’s journey. A female that has faced the ultimate rejected by her mate, the one who is supposed to be her everything… She lived the pain of seeing him loving another and being shunned by her pack for a mistake made in a moment of insanity. She has become of shell of herself, not knowing how to breathe again, but having to put up a strong front saying she’s okay..her best lie… Until Dr Dallas Valentine, he sees her, her worth, her beauty and her pain. And when she’s with him she feels light, breathing becomes easier.

CLAYTON is a journey of finding love but also finding yourself.
Rya realizes that she has giving up on herself and now it’s time to live and breathe again. To become the strong woman she was always meant to be.
It’s an emotional rollercoaster (Rachelle style) I took while reading this book. But it was a beautiful journey that helped me heal a little along with Rya.
Rachelle’s writing shines through this book with her unique style to draw readers and have them live her stories. This book has helped many, like myself, find themselves and learn to breathe again.

I recommend this this book to anyone looking for the perfect captivating soul-touching read.

There are writers which make you get excited about getting home to continue reading their work.

Rachelle is not that kind of writer, she’s the kind that makes you have to pull over on the side of the road to read, the kind that has you risking your job as you read under the counter, under a desk. That has you hiding from family in a bathroom or closet.

Her words, her ability to tap into emotions in such a raw manner quickly become an obssession to any reader.

And in this story you will find the rejection trope done right, the love triangle, the coming of age, all done with respect and heart that will leaving you returning over and over again so you can enjoy the emotional rollercoaster.

Rachelle has ruined many readers, spoiled them, let her change your perspective on things, let her play with your emotions, your expectations, let her show you worlds you never knew you wouldn’t wanna leave.

She is by far one of the most honest, loving down to earth females ever. Rachelle’s writing will have you crying, laughing, smiling and your chest will hurt. But its all worth it for sure. I love this female…
